I plaster because it allows me to work with my hands—creating shapes and depth, playing with shadows and highlights. Not just a flat painting, but a painting you can feel. Even someone who has lost their sight can still experience my passion for art.
The depth of my art
Fire
Fire is often seen as destruction. I see fire as light. Warmth that can be shared. Meeting new people and sharing stories. Talking about their past and where they stand today.
When I travel, I meet so many incredible people. And sometimes, I feel their pain, what they’ve been through. But when I can shine a little light on their faces, I see a smile. And that makes my fire even bigger. Because sharing a smile is the most beautiful thing there is.
Air
Depending on the wind, I adjust my wings, trusting that the wind knows the way. Not forced to go in a specific direction, but believing I am going where I need to be. Trusting in my path, one that is yet to be made.
Each day is a new day. And on that day, I see the direction of the wind. I simply open my wings and fly. Meeting new people, flying together, creating new memories, and embarking on a journey with the wind. Until our wind changes direction, and we fly on, carrying the new memories I will cherish forever.
Water
Water is so much. It can be warm or cold. It can be gentle or destructive. Everyone is welcome, and everyone can be who they want to be. From day one, allowing people in. Sharing success, sharing tools, or simply sharing a smile.
I still have faith in people and don’t like to judge based on appearance. When the water is calm and clear, you are welcome with me. But when the water is murky or dark, and I can’t see what’s beneath, I step away. My water is peaceful, and it is calm. And I will always protect that.
Earth
The ground is where it all begins. Where plants grow, where life is born. It may look messy with dirt or mud, but all the beauty started in that dirt. Some wait for the flowers, others only want the results.
I appreciate those who plant a seed in that earth and wait for the flowers to arrive. And when they do, I’m happy to share them with those who planted them.
The depth of my art
It was a chapter that brought challenges. Sometimes, I didn’t know how to handle them.
